The project to rebuild the VFW Post 7731 Hall
The project to rebuild the VFW Post 7731 Hall, a popular community gathering place for everything from wedding receptions to the Toys for Tots program, was boosted Sunday by an ice cream social that raised more than $9,000 in donations. The more than 150 people attending the event had an opportunity to view a completely revamped main hall and bathrooms, with work by Easling Construction scheduled to begin next month to build a covered carport entrance and install an elevator. For further information contact VFW members, from left, Steve Briggs, commander Greg Mikowski and Mike Peter. Fundraising continues as the VFW Building Fund has reached nearly 80% of its goal.
