On Saturday, former Northport Public School students from the classes of 1985, 1986 and 1987 will come together at the marina pavilion for a “Heart of the ’80s” reunion.
The classes are celebrating 41, 40 and 39 years since graduation — but the reunion is about much more than a milestone number.
It is about coming home. Many grew up together in Northport, went through school together, and share memories of a time and place that shaped who we became. Some classmates have stayed in the area, while others have scattered across the country. This reunion is bringing many of those people back to Northport — some for the first time in decades.
