Bingham’s blight problem; residents seek action

The Bingham Township Board voted to move forward with discussions of a possible blight ordinance, beginning Monday.

“When you bought the property, you knew the risk,“ Bingham Township Supervisor Midge Werner said to the room of angry residents, referring to seemingly one property as the reason an ordinance is needed.

“You people that move up here … The more restrictions you have, the harder it is to do (anything).”
