
Wednesday, Sept. 2
11:49 a.m. — Leland Township — Adult male Shepherd wearing a black color. Caller can’t get close enough to see. Roaming at the end of Louisa Street. (Law enforcement made contact with owner. Dogs secured.)
12:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Domestic.
12:29 p.m. — Empire Township — Green Chevy Silverado swerved and went into the ditch and hit some trees. Wrecker on the scene.
2:25 p.m. — Bingham Township — Southbound on 641. Black F150 swerving across double yellows. Almost hit a car head-on.
3:23 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township —Suttons Bay Dog Park. This is a woman who brings three large dogs when you are only allowed to have two.
8:13 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Green Honda Pilot ran stop light at Bugai and M-72. Sped up to 80 mph and passed three cars. Caller is behind it but is losing sight of the car because they are “driving like a bat out of hell.”
8:25 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller requests a welfare check on a subject. There are seven or eight trash bags outside door and subject seemed disheveled and unsure if she even ordered the food caller delivered. (Law enforcement made contact with individual. She did not want to speak to officer. But seems OK.)
11 p.m. — Kasson Township —Black truck hit a stop sign and continued toward Traverse
City. Air bags went off. Head injury. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.
Friday, Sept. 4
3:59 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Repossession of a black, Chevy Silverado.
5:55 a.m. — Bingham Township —Black sedan heading north on M-22. Caller reports a group of teenagers he believes may be drinking. (No sign of impairment, per law enforcement.)
10:38 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller states she and her husband have seen a man who drives a black, Buick Crossover on Pettengill Road near Oviatt. He has a dog on a leash that is running alongside his vehicle. Dog appears in distress and is having a hard time keeping up. (Caller was instructed to immediately call dispatch if they see him again so law enforcement has an opportunity to intercept him.)
1:40 p.m. — Empire Township —Citizen in Fort Worth, Texas received a random call from a number and tracked it down. During the call, a female said she was trapped in a closet and “wanted to order a pizza.”
(Welfare check made. No emergency here.)
2:32 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Parents live on Overlook Road. Caller was checking security cameras there and saw a young woman who they’ve seen two other times. Last time was Wednesday, Aug. 26.
2:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Michigan State Police arrested a male and a female and are transporting them to the Leelanau County Jail.
10:36 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township— Caller’s daughter had a court date this week and has probation conditions that she’s not supposed to leave the house. She just left to meet someone.
Saturday, Sept. 5
12:03 a.m. — Solon Township — Someone is aggressivelybanging on front door. When caller went to look outside there was no one there.
10:29 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Man has been staying with caller and others. He doesn’t pay rent. Now everyone there would like him to leave but he is refusing.
4:39 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Man outside screaming and yelling racist things. Age 40 to 50 with a dark complexion.
6:59 p.m. — Bingham Township — Dark gray Hyundai swerving all over the road.
7:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Family trouble. Caller is currently in the hospital and her son was just released from jail. May be staying at caller’s apartment with girlfriends. Caller doesn’t want him there.
8:37 p.m. — Solon Township — White Chevy Equinox. Male driver looks to be intoxicated. Just pulled into the gas station after almost getting into an accident.
8:54 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller was driving along Lakeshore Drive3. Saw a man stumbling alongside the road with a can of alcohol. Shirtless. Headed northbound. (No laws broken per law enforcement.)
Sunday, Sept. 6
6:24 a.m. — Centerville Township — Illegal camping. Ranger out with a black Jeep in the parking lot with two individuals.
4:28 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller was driving and a mower shot gravel at her vehicle, causing damage.
8:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township — People camping down on the beach at the end of Peterson Park Road. Possibly on caller’s property. Camped there last night and they are back again. (Per law enforcement, they are not camping on the beach. They are just having a picnic.)
8:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Disorderly person outside the restaurant screaming at people. Wearing a brown jacket, gray pants and has two dogs with him.
11:15 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller states there is a person playing loud music. They have been asked to stop by other camper and campground staff.
Monday, Sept. 7
8:04 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller wants to speak to a deputy regarding debris from fireworks his neighbor set off.
8:11 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller bought ham spread last night. Ate it and got “really sick.” Not sick now, but would like the spread tested.
2:19 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Red GMC. Sobriety tests given. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.
2:26 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller was following a red Dodge truck driving erratically and almost hit a vehicle while crossing the center line.
3:14 p.m. — Bingham Township — Northbound on M-22 behind a silver Mercedes swerving. Caller is no long behind it but the Mercedes passed about four cars.
8:27 p.m. — Solon Township — Wife grabbed daughter aggressively by the back of the neck.
