Glen Arbor Players present ‘The Savannah Sipping Society’
The Glen Arbor Players will present “The Savannah Sipping Society” Friday and Saturday, Sept. 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m and the following weekend Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at The Leelanau School.

Come sit on Randa’s veranda and meet the ladies of “The Savannah Sipping Society” in the Glen Arbor Players’(GAP) production of the popular play by playwrights Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten.

It is a charming, funny, sometimes bawdy story of four middle-aged gals who form a lasting friendship and learn that it’s “never too late to make old new friends.”

Staggering out of a hot yoga class that’s way too hot for older ladies, Dot, Randa, and Marlafaye commiserate and then impulsively plan a Friday evening happy hour at Randa’s. Jinx, invited almost by accident, joins them, and the four women become inseparable, healing each other and restarting lives stalled by disappointment, sadness, and hurt.
