Joel Heyboer of Leelanau Classics, known for wooden boat restoration, displays several client projects at the Maritime Festival in Leland Saturday.
“My favorite part is varnishing. I love doing the varnish work and then seeing the final product when I’m done. That’s what it’s all about for me,” Heyboer said.
