The annual Northwest Michigan Housing Summit hosted by Housing North is returning in its 12th year to Traverse City, bringing together housing professionals, community leaders, developers, financial institutions, local and state officials, and other partners from across Michigan.
This year’s Summit, themed “Forward Together: Turning Vision into Action,” will focus on moving housing ideas and strategies toward implementation. Over two days, participants will connect around emerging housing tools, policy developments, community planning, financing, development strategies, and practical solutions being implemented across Northwest Michigan and the state. Early bird registration is open through September 18.
“Coming into Housing North as the new Executive Director, I’m very excited to experience the Northwest Michigan Housing Summit and to learn alongside the people who are shaping the future of housing across our region,” said Carolyn Fairman, Housing North’s Executive Director. “There is so much happening right now: from legislative progress and new tools to creative solutions that are already working in our communities. The Summit is a chance to bring all of that together, learning from one another, making meaningful connections, and leaving with ideas we can put into action. Whether you work in housing every day or simply care about the future of the communities we love, I hope you’ll join us this October.”
