Interim Administrator Lauren Cypher publicly declared her desire to drop the interim title and be appointed Leelanau County Administrator at Tuesday’s executive session.
“I want to provide necessary stability,” she said in her administrator’s update. “I’m asking in public for negotiations of an employment contract.”
Cypher said this goes along with industry standards and locks her in for the long term.
