BLOTTER: 911 hangup. Noise in the background. No one coming to phone.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

4:26 a.m. — Solon Township — 911 hangup. Noise in the background. No one coming to phone. Phone picked up on callback. Lights are on in the house. Deputy can see someone inside but they aren’t responding to knocks or flashlight. (Per law enforcement, the subject is breathing but they aren’t responding to anything. Someone finally coming to the door. Everyone is OK.)

11:20 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller’s foot slipped off gas and went into ditch and hit a tree. Red Toyota.

12:14 p.m. — Centerville Township — Adult Protective Services requests assistance with family in violation of court order.

2:05 p.m. — Empire Township — Neighbors four dogs are barking every day/all day long.

6:57 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller reports his daughter stole his Chevy Impala. They don’t know where she went.

10 p.m. — Bingham Township — Arrest made for weapons violation.

Thursday, Sept. 10

1:13 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is worried about former boyfriend. (Subject is fine, per law enforcement.)

10:26 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Loose dog. Helping rangers and owner try and secure it. Have leash on dog. Trying to get it out from under the trailer. (Owner has custody of the dog.)

12:29 p.m. — Leland Township — Older male walking down the road. Concerned he will get hit. Caller is staying near him. Didn’t ask him if he needed help.

He is walking on the side of the road southbound. Has a limp. Too close to the road. Group of people standing around Sunset Shore. Having a meeting there, not related to call.

12:30 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller has questions regarding vehicle that he sold in 2012 but, according to the Secretary of State office, it is still titled in his name.

5 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller just realized his white, F350 is gone. Called back and thinks he located the vehicle. No need for law enforcement at this time. Caller called back and advised subject admitted to taking the vehicle. Vehicle was left in Traverse City, but cannot locate it. Entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) as stolen.

5:03 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports friend’s wallet was lost in Leland.

7:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Store owner verbally threatened the caller. Would like to speak with an officer.

8:34 p.m. — Solon Township — Bear ran into caller’s Ford 150. Not sure where the bear is. Officer will look for bear.

9:59 p.m. — Leland Township — Domestic.

10:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller’s ex-husband hasn’t been heard from since yesterday and no one is able to reach him.

11:58 p.m. — Bingham Township — Driver says two cars in front of her brake checking each other and driving recklessly.

Friday, Sept. 11

12:19 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller found a Golden Retriever walking in the middle of M-22. Caller has dog in his garage.

1:22 p.m. — Solon Township — Horse loose 1/2 mile from Schomberg on Co. Rd. 643. In an open pasture and someone is walking him around S. Lakeshore and Maria Lane. (Horse is on a lead, fenced in pasture here that would hold. Will try to get him in. Horses back in barn.)

2:05 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller’s dad sent him a text message that doesn’t make sense. Now he can’t get him on the phone. Would like a welfare check He’s not home and his neighbors haven’t seen him. His vehicle is not there. (Subject was on a walk in the park. He is safe and will call his family.)

3:35 p.m. —Elmwood Township — Subject left car at the recycling station, carrying a .45 in a shoulder holster walking on Cherry Bend Road and he’s asking for directions. Subject is wearing all black with a black Vietnam hat. Another caller thinks he was scammed and is having difficulty breathing. Caller was driving by and saw him bent over. States someone has his dog and he has to get a gift card to get the dog back. Male assisted.

4:26 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Large male at mile marker. Bent over and didn’t look good. Had a young man with him.

4:34 p.m. — Leland Township — Possible fraud stopped by the bank.

8:45 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Criminal sexual conduct reported.

9:07 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports three motorcycle in front of her. One motorcycle is swerving back and forth in the lane.

9:26 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller sees a concerning light between N. Bar Lake and the south side of dune plateau.

10:03 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reports dogs barking throughout the night. He advised it just started a couple nights ago, but has been going on all night.

11:40 p.m. — Solon Township — Family trouble.

Saturday, Sept. 12

10:31 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reports a Mike Rogers for Congress sign stolen from his yard.

7:46 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller works at Hop Lot and she reports a 15-year-old whose bike was accidentally locked up by someone else. He needs help cutting the lock. (Bike has been freed.)

Sunday, Sept. 13

1:12 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White Ford stopped on sobriety test. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

2:30 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Blue Honda Fit hit a wall. Airbags deployed. No one around. Can hear something moving in he woods. (Village DPW has been notified of damage to the curb. Vehicle entered as impounded.)

Monday, Sept. 14

12:46 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Call from Grand Traverse Central Dispatch. Looking for a black BMW that drove on sidewalks, damaged signs. Last seen entering Leelanau County at M-72 and M-22. Should have front end damage.

1:23 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Traverse City Police Department, stopped (vehicle mentioned above). Has driver in custody. Dog that was at large while on this call was idenitifed and returned to owners.

1:30 p.m. — Kasson Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.

3:23 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller wishes to speak with an office referencing issues with eviction.

5:07 p.m. — Centerville Township — Gray SUV pulling up to mailboxes, looking inside. Caller advised it does not look like the usual mail car.

5:41 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Woman speaking at meeting that won’t get down. Her time is up. (Meeting has ended.No further incidents.)

7:38 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Transfer call from Oakland County. Four people separated from each other. Two teens back together at car. Ford Bronco. Two still missing. Two are at the Bronco in the Dune Climb parking lot. They don’t have keys to the car. All reunited. (Ranger spoke with all four gentlemen. They are good. Heading back downstate now.)

10:44 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Boat coming from North Manitou back to Northport marina. Fishing boat. Possibly left North Manitou 1 1/2 hours ago. Three on board. Parent of one of the subjects on board has been advised if he hears from someone on boat, call 911. Coast Guard notified. Boaters notified dispatch that they are almost in Northport. Will call Coast Guard directly. (Per Coast Guard, boaters are safely on shore in Northport. They were nervous but not in distress at any point.)

Tuesday, Sept. 15

3:40 a.m. — Leland Township — Dark Gray Jeep Compass repossessed.
