To the editor:
The ultimate power in a democracy lies with the people andtheirvote. Ourship-ofstate is listing far to starboard and the people’s vote is needed, now, to re-balance the power in Congress and right-the-ship. Currently, Congress is absentwithout- leave due to the total collapse of the Republican party. Under Republican control, Congress has failed in its duty to act as a balancing force against an president who is desperate to be a king.
Trump is always pushing forward moves to overthrow our democracy and replace it with a dictatorship of the very wealthy.
