A Solon Township resident has been recognized for her career in municipal budgeting and financial management.
Rebecca Hendrick is the recipient of the 2026 Aaron Wildavsky Award given by the Association for Budgeting & Financial Management (ABFM.)
The award, created in 1993, recognizes lifetime achievement for work in public budgeting and financial management and honors the legacy of Dr. Aaron Wildavsky, a pioneering scholar in the fields of government budgeting, public policy, and policy analysis. Wildavsky is most remembered for his work on the theory and concept of budgetary incrementalism, which is often held in contract to rational decision approaches to public management and policy outcomes.
