Mid-term voting begins Thursday in Leelanau

Early voting and mail-ins will begin to trickle in this week as the midterm elections kick off locally, statewide and nationwide.

Today (Sept. 24) is the first day someone can vote in person, with an absentee ballot at a voter’s township clerk’s office.

Interim Empire Township clerk Maggie Bacon just received roughly 500 ballots Tuesday and is mailing them out as soon as possible.
