With record high fuel costs, anyone filling up their gas tank is feeling the pinch at the pump.

Recent gas price volatility in Michigan has driven regular unleaded averages to $4.69 per gallon. This followed a sharp 60-cent surge late last month that pushed prices to $5 her gallon, AAA reported a 24-cent relief drop for unleaded fuel.

And while consumers are paying more for unleaded fuel, the cost of diesel fuel remains severely elevated, averaging $6.77 per gallon, down from $6.89, squeezing agriculture, trucking and manufacturing sectors.
