Two upcoming “Food for Life” cooking classes in Northport will focus on nutrition, particularly utilizing foods to tackle menopause and breast cancer.
Food for Life is an award-winning nutrition education and cooking class program that provides hands-on experiences and information about the direct role of plant-based nutrition in health and disease prevention. Sponsored by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, the program promotes healthy eating based on the latest scientific research.
Peshawbestown resident and Native Food for Life Instructor Darylin Berryman will teach the two hour-long cooking classes set at the Skye House in October.
