Finish second at regionals

For the first time in school history, the Leland girls golf team is heading to the state championships, after finishing second at an MHSAA D4 girls golf regional at A-Ga-Ming (Sundance) Tuesday.

“The girls played their game through the nerves, the conditions and the pressure. One reason this has been a successful season is our team scores are all very close to one another- consistent,” Leland coach Grace Keeble said. “I'm very proud of the girls today. Tough conditions with a little rain prior to teeing off, very windy, cool, and the sun really did not start popping out until the girls had about six holes left.”
