Leland resident Ben Wellborn returned home for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon during the first weekend of the month to push himself and raise money for the neonatal intensive care unit at Children’s Hospital of Minnesota.
“Leland was the perfect place to train for this goal I have had forever. What kept me going through snow, cold, rain, and heat was all of the cheers as I ran through town,” Ben said.
The cause mattered to Ben, 25, because he probably shouldn’t be here in the first place.
