Stein named Region 2 AD of the Year

Glen Lake Athletic Director Rachel Stein was honored at halftime of Friday’s game for running a bustling athletics program.

“I have a lot of support, and I’m lucky to have my kids … They always wanted to be here and be involved and support the school,” Stein said.

Stein, formerly Rachel Oleson, was named Region 2 Athletic Director of the Year, which includes schools in Leelanau, Benzie, Grand Traverse Academy, Antrim, Charlevoix, Kalkaska, Ostego, Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Alpena, and Oscoda. She was selected from a pool that included three other athletic directors. All regional athletic directors voted.
