Fall plein air at The Homestead

The Homestead resort will welcome painters from across the region for its first-ever plein air outdoor painting event Sunday.

Held in partnership with the Oliver Art Center of Frankfort, the “Sleeping Bear Coast Fall Paint Out” will bring approximately 20 regional artists together to capture peak autumn scenery in real time across the resort’s 500-acre property.

Plein air artists will spend the day creating original, completed works entirely outdoors, drawing inspiration from Lake Michigan and surrounding fall foliage. Throughout the day, community members and resort guests are invited to walk the grounds, observe the artists at work, and experience their creative process firsthand.
