Cleveland Township rescinds move to establish SAD

Cleveland Township’s board voted unanimously to rescind its resolution of intent to create a special assessment district for a culvert project at Little Traverse Lake, formally closing out a plan they had already decided to back away from.

“This will be the final chapter as far as Cleveland Township is concerned,” Supervisor Tim Stein said at a meeting last week.

He called the vote a housekeeping item, meant to put it on the record that the township has canceled the public hearing about the SAD and reiterate that they will be taking no further action on the issue.
