Christopher “Chris” (known as “Screech” to close friends) Lee Neddo, 48, of Traverse City, died Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born October 14, 1975, in Lake Leelanau, the son of Gary and Martha (LaBonte) Neddo.
Chris had worked at the Bayshore Resort, in Traverse City, as a housekeeper and at the Bluebird Restaurant, in Leland, as a dishwasher and salad prepper. In his spare time, he enjoyed biking. He will be remembered for his big grin. Chris made many lifelong friends and was always courteous and friendly to everyone he met.
Chris is survived by: his mother, Martha Neddo of Traverse City; siblings, Richard (Catherine) Belanger-Neddo of Grand Rapids, Duane “Dewy” (Melody) Everett-Neddo of Rapid City, and Diane (Eugene) Hubert of Oakley; and Robert “Bob” Neddo of Lake Leelanau; special lifelong friend, Sid Finfrock; nieces and nephews, Samantha Turner, Jonathon Turner, Lindsey Neddo, Natalie Belanger, Lillian Neddo, and Robert Neddo; and great niece and nephews, Giovanni, Genevieve, and Silas Turner. Chris was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2024 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 511 S. Garfield Avenue, Traverse City, Michigan 49686. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
