Friday, Feb. 16
5:11 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller saw what appeared to be flashlights in the smaller barn by the road when he was pulling into his driveway. Barn is secure. There was a light inside for a piano which is most likely what he saw. The light seems to be an ongoing issue with the previous owners.
8:32 a.m. — Leland Township — Ongoing issue. Gray Toyota 4-runner speeding and passing aggressively, sometimes illegally between 7:55 a.m. and 8:05 a.m.
12:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two dogs were in the road. They aren’t currently in the road, but they keep returning. Contacted the owner. He is not in the area and the owner believes the dog sitter is not there currently in the area. Contacted the owner again, house sitter is on the way and will remain there until they get there. Dog turned over to the pet sitter, verbal warning.
2:03 p.m. — Leland Township — Male came in taking pictures of products in a suspicious way, trying not to be seen. Male was only there for about five minutes. No crime committed, just strange behavior.
3:36 p.m. — Leland Township — There is a male taking pictures of the exterior of the school until about 5 p.m. Driving a Jeep, in case anyone calls he is there on legitimate business.
7:37 p.m. — Bingham Township — Report of two big furry dogs outside, maybe St. Bernards. Just concerned.
8:22 p.m. — Leland Township — Four girls came in and bought $200 worth of alcohol using fake IDs. Spoke with the caller. It was two different groups buying beer. All are gone now. Also spoke with the restaurant owner. They did not serve the group.
Saturday, Feb. 17
1:15 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s daughter and granddaughter live at this house. Possibly could be minors drinking. Caller believes that her daughter and granddaughter could be arguing and can hear yelling from inside the residence.
8:11 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Carbon monoxide detector set off fire alarm. Alarm company spoke with the homeowner and did not advise them to leave the residence. Dispatch called the homeowner back and advised them to leave the residence. Positive readings throughout the house.
11:40 a.m. — Centerville Township — Caller arrived at an Airbnb, smelled gas, left the door open for five minutes but still smells it. There were readings coming from the furnace. The furnace has been shut off and the property owner notifi ed. The guests have been advised to seek accommodations elsewhere.
12:25 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller went into the ditch and into some trees to avoid a collision.
5:01 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reports there is “a lot of Adderall and cocaine going around.”
Sunday, Feb. 18
12:55 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Subjects stayed at the condo in July and took some CDs and a necklace. Caller wants the deputy to contact and advise them to stay out of the condo.
6:59 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller reports her husband left his home in Interlochen at 12:30 p.m. to pick up tools and has not returned home. Text to phone went straight to voicemail. Have attempted the caller’s phone three times. Phone states it is not accepting phone calls. Caller called back. Her husband has “turned up.”
Monday, Feb. 19
10: 31 a.m. — Kasson Township — Stop sign is damaged. Road Commission put up a temporary one.
10:37 a.m. — Leland Township — Check has been altered. The bank refused to cash it as it had clearly been altered.
11:31 a.m. — Empire Township — Lost wallet reported. Caller called back. Found his wallet in his car.
12:02 p.m. — Bingham Township — iPhone crash detection. Contacted the phone owner. Phone fell on the floor of the car.
3:34 p.m. — Bingham Township — 911 call made. Small child on the line saying, “help me, help me, I’m in danger.” 12-year-old pulling a prank. Was not aware the call could be traced. He’s been counseled.
9:26 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Silver four door car swerving all over and varying speed since Maple City. Heading east on M-72 towards Traverse City.
