‘Keepers seek support to complete restoration
North Manitou Light Keepers (“NMLK”) have announced the launch of the final phase of the Campaign for the Crib. This capital campaign supports restoration of the North Manitou Shoal Light (also known as the “Crib”). There’s been a sign at the top stair of The Mill in Glen Arbor that read “no public access.” This week that sign will be removed as The Mill softly opens a restaurant before a full opening will occur on April 17. The Glen Lake Library will host Mollie Moody on Thursday, April 25 for a presentation on her father’s recently published memoir “A Father’s Arms.” The diary recounts Captain Robert Maynard’s experience as a tank commander in Europe, including his arrival at Hitler’s famed Eagle’s Nest at the end of the war. If you listen carefully on Wednesdays and Thursdays, you could hear the pitter patter of dancing feet in Suttons Bay. NHS effort St. Mary School
National Honor Society (NHS) students recently participated in an alumni outreach initiative. Students were part of a Phonathon team who contacted St. Mary School graduates. The goal of the outreach initiative was to connect with alumni, verify contact information and solicit feedback about their favorite St. Mary School memory.
