Emma Dawn Parker Ward

Emma Dawn Parker Ward was born September 28, 1937, in Waycross, GA to Alys Dawn Cullens Parker and Frank Cady Parker. On December 8, 2024, she passed peacefully in Traverse City, Michigan.

Dawn was married to the love of her life, Ron Ward. Over the years they resided in East Lansing, MI, Bonita Springs, FL and currently Leland, MI.

Dawn was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was athletic, smart, beautiful, spunky, generous and so very proud of her family.

She was a huge sports fan. She and Ron traveled to the Ryder Cup, US Open, Masters, Final Four, Rose Bowl, Citrus Bowl and hundreds of MSU football, basketball and hockey games. She played in dozens of golf tournaments, winning often. She was always organized, put together, and there for everyone in her family. Her Spartan football tailgates were legend as were her frequent family dinners.

Dawn and Ron shared six children. Kimberly Robb ( James), Kristia Converse ( John), Mark Luce ( Julie) Kelly Santoni, 1937 ~ 2024

Ron Ward Jr., and Kim Ward. Dawn had 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her loving grandchildren include Parker, Taylor, Brooks, Wesley, Tucker, Kara, Marka, Reilly, Rosie, Samson and Austin. Dawn’s love of children extended well beyond her own family.

Dawn is also survived by her dear sister Marlianne Midyette and her beautiful family.

Dawn received loving and compassionate care from the wonderful people at French Manor Green House and Hospice of Michigan.

Dawn’s life will be celebrated at a Leland Country Club Open House Saturday, June 7, 2025, from noon until 2:30.
