NORTHPORT POINT - John Peck, 75, of Northport Point, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024. Born on March 8, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, John lived a life defined by adventure, kindness, and a passion for the skies and the water.

John had a long and fulfilling career as a pilot, beginning with Kroger and later flying as a Captain for Continental Airlines. Even after retiring, his love for aviation continued as he flew recreationally, embracing his passion for flight. A talented and mechanical mind, John could often be found tinkering and fixing anything that needed repair.

He cherished life on the lake, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, and welcoming family and friends to his home. Summers with John were filled with laughter, great conversations, and memories made on the water.

John is survived by his brother George and sister-in-law Susan, along with his many nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Barbara Peck, and his brothers, Army and Tod Peck.

John’s warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
