Nancy was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a life-long resident of Leelanau County. Prior to retirement, Nancy drove school bus for many years for Sutton’s Bay Schools and also worked in cosmetology. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs. Her passion was flower gardening. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: Howard & Gladys (Holmes) Geiger; sister, Mary & Paul Bone; in-laws: Charles & Martha Kovarik; and siblingsin- law: Richard Kovarik, Claude & Barbara Kovarik, Fred Blankenship.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald “Jerry” Kovarik; sons: Craig Kovarik, Scott Kovarik & partner Jennifer Miller; grandchildren: Conner, Kennedy, Londynn, Scott’lynn; siblings-in-law: Ronald & Jackie Kovarik, Ruby Blankenship, Maryann Kovarik; and nieces and nephews: Rebekah Bone Campbell, David Bone, Josh Kovarik, Jacob Blankenship, Chuck Kovarik, Seth Kovarik, Lee Kovarik.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 1025 S. Union St. Traverse City. Family will receive visitors an hour prior to Mass from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow. All are welcome to the burial at 2:00 p.m. at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
