Jerry F. Fouch
Jerry was a kind and gentle man; true to his faith, and a friend to all. He was a devoted husband, who took great care of his wife up until her passing. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Leelanau County, the land his family were founding fathers of. He was proud to be an early adaptor of data processing, working as a manager for Parsons Corporation and Burwood. Jerry was an avid baseball lover and had even been scouted as a pitcher in his younger years. His family will also remember his love of card playing, hunting, fishing, and his great sense of humor.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Fouch; infant son, Kimberly; grandson, Matthew Fouch; and siblings: John Fouch, Joan (Richard) Mathison, Joy (Russell) Gray, Jacqueline (Leon) Carlson, Julian Fouch, and Janet Kibby. He is survived by his children: Lynn (Durke) Smith, Jerry (Susan) Fouch; grandchildren: Kasie Carlson, Allison (Brody) Duncan, David (Ashley) Fouch; step grandchildren: Kevin Smith Sr. (Karen), Paul (Irene) Smith, Steve Smith; great grandchildren: Jacob, Maddie, Zachary (mother, Jill), Skyler, McKenzie, Tessa, Lucielle, Scarlett, Cooper, Sullivan; seven step great-grandchildren; and siblings-in-law: Theresa Fouch, Neal Kibby, Jeri Fouch.
A funeral service was held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Jerry’s memory.
