Delphine Cecilia Flowers

Delphine Cecilia Flowers
Delphine was born in Detroit, MI on November 18, 1927 to the late Michael & Cecelia (Rzepecki) Wygocki. In November of 1948, she married Frank Flowers. They moved to Cedar in 1958 where she traded city life to become a farmer’s wife, which she loved being. Together they raised nine children. When her kids were school age, Delphine expanded her role as homemaker and worked as housekeeper and inspector at the Homestead Resort, Holiday Inn, and Sugar Loaf Resort. She also was a nanny later on. There she met so many people who became friends, who are still friends today.
Her loves were dancing polkas, playing cards, and crocheting Afghans and scarves for all her kids, grandkids, and great grand kids. She was very proud of her large family and had lots of fun with them.
Delphine was always a positive person who cared more about making other people happy. She could befriend someone in five minutes. She was also proud of her tattoos, the first of which she got at 75 years of age and the last at age 90.
Delphine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Flowers; son, Kenneth Flowers; grandsons, Raymond “RJ” Flowers, Leonard J. Scheidel; siblings, Gerald Wygocki, Pete Wygocki, Monica Bezel, Patricia Iannaci, Janet Kasmer; sons-in-law, Al Perales, and Paul Stieber.
She is survived by her children, Frank (Pat) Flowers, Gregory (Mary) Flowers, Christine Danielson, Virginia (Glenn) Carlson, Deanna Flowers, Raymond (Vickie) Flowers, Ronald (Sue) Flowers, Delores “Lulu” (John) Scheidel; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brothers, David Wygocki, Douglass (Kathy) Wygocki; and many special nieces and nephews.
