Mary Ann (Plank) Duperon

It is with deep sorrow that I share the news of Mary Ann (Plank) Duperon’s passing. She passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann, age 84, of Lake Leelanau, Michigan, was born on November 25, 1940, in Buckley, Michigan, to Floyd and Agatha (Miller) Plank.

Throughout her life, Mary Ann cherished her many hobbies, particularly the joy of traveling and camping with family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Donald J. Duperon; their beloved dog, Dee; her children, Michael (Christie), Janice, Judy, and Anthony (Julie); her grandchildren, Shawn (Devon), Christopher (Dixie), Kellie (Brett), Jacob, Anthony Jr., Cassandra, and Joey; and her great-grandchildren, Wesley, Rory, Colton, Christopher, and Mia.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, Patricia, James, and Joanne; her son-in-law, Butch Wonageshik; her son-in-law, Bobby Stachnik; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Duperon; and her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Belle Duperon.

Funeral services will be held in the spring at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Gills Pier, Michigan, followed by burial at Memorial Gardens in Traverse City, Michigan. Further details regarding the service will be shared as they become available.
