Isabelle (Glazier) Tobin

Isabelle (Glazier) Tobin
Isabelle was showered with love and prayers from her family before Jesus welcomed her to her Heavenly home. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Martha Glazier. Isabelle grew up on a family farm with six siblings where she learned a great work ethic, in the beautiful rolling hills of Leelanau County in northern Michigan, home of The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. On February 14, 1942, at age 17, she met the love of her life, Philip John Tobin “Phil” and celebrated 66 years of marriage before he died in 2008. They were preceded in death by their son, Philip John Tobin, Jr. in 1968. She will be lovingly remembered, cherished, and missed dearly by her children Liz Rockinger, Daniel (Susan) Tobin, Gene (Ann) Tobin, Connie (George) Marsh, Bonnie (Donald) Stephens, Deborah Geiger, Thomas (Toni) Tobin, 21 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 35 great-greatgrandchildren. Isabelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who brought joy and happiness not only to her family but to everyone she met. In the early years of her marriage, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior through the faithful witness of a caring neighbor. She was a 1924 ~ 2025
powerful witness for Christ, loved the Lord, reflected God’s grace throughout her life, and shared the love of Jesus with everyone.
In August 2024, Isabelle celebrated her 100th birthday and was surrounded by loving family and friends to celebrate her “100 Years Blessed and Loved”. She looked especially beautiful on this day and was so incredibly excited and happy to celebrate with loved ones at her party.
These memories will forever be cherished. A special thank you to the staff at The Village of Heather Hills and Gentiva Hospice where she received loving and attentive care.
