Stephen Dunklow
Stephen Dunklow

Stephen was born March 11, 1976, in Northport, MI to William Dunklow (Lake Leelanau) and Barb Zanosky (Harietta,MI).
Growing up Stephen could be found with his family outdoors and engaging in sports activities with friends and teammates. Stephen had a deep sense of pride for his family. He would give the shirt of his back in a heartbeat. Everyone knew that he’d willingly lend a hand. Throughout his teenage years, Stephen enjoyed working on his Grandparents farm where his strong work ethic began tending to cattle and shaking cherries in the summer. Eventually, he would become a carpenter working for Easling Construction.
Stephen loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite things to do. If he wasn’t outdoors, he would gladly be up for a game or two of euchre. Stephen also enjoyed watching sports. He especially liked watching the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and UofM football. Regardless of the time of year he could be found in sports attire showing his unwavering support.
Stephen is survived by his father William Dunklow, stepmother Annie Dunklow, brother William Dunklow, brother-in-law Jason Budzinski, nieces, and nephews Shelby (Ray) Fritz, Jeremy Budzinski, Emily and Cooper Dunklow, stepsiblings Logan and Wyatt Zubek, step grandmother Joyce Novak, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Mother Barb Zanosky, sister Crystal Budzinski, Grandfather Orville Dunlow, Grandmother Cecilia Dunklow, Aunt Margaret Dunklow.
Stephen’s warm smile and loving presence will be missed by more people than he could have imagined. The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Stephen in Maple city this upcoming summer 2025. Thank you to the staff at Maple Valley Nursing Home as well as the Hospice staff for your endless care, love and support Stephen received throughout his journey at Maple Valley.
