Betty Jane (Kabat) (Peplinski) McInally,

Be_y Jane (Kabat) (Peplinski) McInally, 99, of North Branch, MI passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 27, 2025. Be_y was a well-known and well-loved resident of the North Branch community where she raised her eleven children.

Be_y was born in Cadillac on June 17, 1925 to the late John and Albena Kabat (Kabatek). A_er her mother died, Be_y, age 6, and her only sibling, infant Andrew, went to live with their Aunt Sally and Uncle Joe Kabat and ten cousins on their farm in Cedar.

In January of 1948, Be_y married Stanley Peplinski also from Cedar and they moved to North Branch in 1949.

Stanley passed away in 1964. A few years later, Be_y became a school bus driver which she enjoyed for twenty years.

In 1969, Be_y married Verne McInally. Be_y and Verne had nine happy years together before he passed away in 1978. Be_y enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, dancing the polka, playing cards and holding babies.

Be_y was a devoted member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch for 75 years. As a youth, Be_y a_ended Holy Rosary Catholic School in Cedar. Be_y’s faith brought her great comfort and she prayed daily for her entire family.

Be_y is survived by her six sons: Eugene (Susie), Benedict, Gregory, Dennis, omas, and Stanley (Michelle) and her five daughters: Donna (Daniel) Smith, Carol Bretz, Susie Locklin, Marilyn (Gary) Bulzan, and Linda (Henry) Schank. Others le_ to miss Be_y are her 94 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and 43 nieces and nephews including her special niece, Lore_a.

Also preceding Be_y in death were her brother Andrew, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Be_y’s funeral was on March 31 in North Branch and her burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to the Holy Rosary Church on May 10 at 2:50 PM.
