NORTHPORT- Raymond Albert Glasel, 92 of Hutchinson Island, Florida passed Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Raymond, born May 8, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, is the son of the late Gustave and Olga Glasel.

Raymond married Margaret Anne McLaughlan in 1954 and lived in Ft Walton, Florida while serving in the United States Air Force at Elgin Air Force Base.

Upon his discharge, they moved their home to Westland, Michigan and made a family summer lake home in Northport, Michigan along with annual trips to Destin, Florida. Raymond was a SeniorEngineer for General Motors Cadillac in Detroit and completed his military service as a Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard at Detroit Metro. Raymond and Margaret made Northport and Destin their permanent homes upon his retirement. Raymond married Ellen Fay Starr of Northport, Michigan in 2017. _ey moved from their home in Northport, Michigan to Hutchinson Island, Florida where he lived out his remaining life.

Raymond lived an active life in Michigan and Florida. Over the years he enjoyed playing golf, ice hockey, cards, and sailing with friends and family.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Ellen Fay Glasel; two daughters Cathy (Cleve) Crenshaw of Picayune, Mississippi and Carol (Cy) Lapinski of Dansville, Michigan three grandchildren Carrie (Ryan) Wells of Luther, Michigan, Chris ( Jordan) Crenshaw of Picayune, Mississippi and Cyril ( Jessie) Lapinski of Dansville, Michigan along with e great grandchildren Saylor Crenshaw, Lynley Crenshaw, Oliver Crenshaw, Wade Wells and Raelynn Lapinski. He is also survived by his brother Norman (Laura) Glasel of Clarkston, Michigan as well as other family and friends.

Raymond is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Glasel, sister Beatrice Mosley and brother George Glasel.

A graveside service at the Leelanau Township Cemetery in Northport, Michigan with be held at 10 a.m. June 13, 2025.

In lieu of _owers, memorials may be donated to the Leelanau Conservancy in Leland Michigan.
