Norris G. Ladd of Marion passed away Monday morning, July 7, 2025 after a short, but brave, battle with cancer. He was born January 23,1944 in Evart, Michigan to Herbert and Marvel (Gibson) Ladd and was one of 7 children.

Norris attended Evart schools and was active in football and track. After serving in the military, he eventually settled in Marion where he worked for Marion Public Schools until he retired in 2001. Norris enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a wonderful carpenter. After retirement, he enjoyed exploring the country with his beloved wife in their RV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Joan (Gillmore) Ladd, and 3 brothers: Keith, Kenneth and Dale. He is survived by his siblings David, Terry and Marilyn. He is also survived and forever missed by his wife and best friend Tammy (Stowe) Ladd and by his children: Greg (Lynnette) Ladd of Tustin, Marlene (Shaun) Ladd of Mason, Jennifer (Steve) Nowicki of Empire: grandchildren Jessica (Ryan) Leisenring, Michael (Kasie) Ladd, Hannah and Rebecca Nowicki: great grandchildren Shelby and Sierra Leisenring and many special brother and sister in-laws and nieces and nephews.

The family is forever grateful for the care Norris received by the oncology team at Corewell Reed City and the staff at Hospice of Michigan. No service is planned.
