Brotha Mike is proceeding in death by parents Derrell Ray Shaw Sr and Karla Ruth Shaw.

Brotha Mike was born in Lansing MI on May 9th, 1975.

Brotha Mike was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and the Sioux Tribe from Rosebud South Dakota.

Brotha Mike was an amazing father to his 5 children, Kane Dyantae Pigeion, Michael Jordan Shaw, Kobe Ray Shaw, Karlee Michelle Shaw and Diamond Marie Sams. His children were his world. He would do anything and everything for them.

His siblings include Kristopher Sands, Derrell Shaw (Duey Dawn Shaw), Twin Michelle Shaw (Cita), Kevin Shaw ( Joelle). His aunt Audrey Anderson and all his nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind the love of his life Shawn K Jones of Sutton’s Bay.

Brotha Mike was a big NBA fan and 2 of his favorite players were Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant hence his 2 son’s names.

1975 ~ 2025

Brotha Mike had the biggest heart and was willing to help anyone.

He was a master mechanic, and everyone called on him when they needed car repairs. Brotha Mike loved grilling and inviting over family and friends.

Although he was born less than a mile from Spartan Stadium he became a BIG Wolverine Fan.

He loved his country Music a few of his favorites include Dwight Yokam, Johnny Cash and Chris Stapleton.

Brotha Mike was a very competitive dude especially when it came to corn hole.

Brotha Mike will be missed dearly Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19th at the Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with the family greeting friends at 12 p.m., on Thursday, November 20th at the Strongheart Center in Peshawbestown. Burial will follow at Omena Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Sam McClellan will officiate.
