Carolyn was born on November 9, 1937, in Brookville, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Eileen (Mugavin) Blackmore. On January 05, 1957, in Terre Haute, Indiana, she married the love of her life, William S.

Bolinger. William preceded her in death on July 15, 2024.

Carolyn attended Indiana University and was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. She remained active in Alpha Phi activities throughout her life. She was a member of the Leland Country Club and enjoyed her play in the Ladies golf league. She was a member of the Leland Yacht Club and served many duties of that group and even sailed as a crew member for her son. She and her husband lived in St. Louis, MO until 1995 when they moved to Leland as permanent residents.

Carolyn is survived by her children, William S. (Sue) Bolinger Jr., Deborah S. Hoadley, and David P. Bolinger; her Died November 11, 2025 grandchildren, Sarah Garno, Jenny Thompson, Michael Bolinger, Ben Thirlby, Drew Bolinger, TJ Hoadley, and Tyler Bolinger; and her greatgrandchildren, Chandler Garno, Shawn O’Connor, Emma Walk, Mason Bolinger, Quinn Bolinger, Sawyer Garno, Myra Walk, Connor Bolinger, and Carter Bolinger. She is also survived by her sisters, Barb Hvoshinsky and Brenda Varner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, William, and her sister Charlene Jo Blackmore.

Private family graveside services and burial will take place at a later date.
