Steven J. Bolan passed away on November 20th, 2025, in Orange, California, surrounded by friends and his two beloved dogs Gypsy and Bentley. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ellis (Jery) and Irma (Bauer) Bolan. He was born on December 3rd, 1943, in Traverse City. He grew up in Suttons Bay, Michigan. After graduating from high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles, California, and started his career in the movie business, writing and producing movie trailers for movie studios. Steve was a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, which annually chooses various Academy Awards in the industry.

Steve had a love for all creatures great and small and had a menagerie of animals throughout his life.

He was a world traveler, and his last trip was to South Africa, which included a wildlife animal photo safari.

Steve is survived by his brother, Mick Bolan, and his longtime companion, Colin Hadlow.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
