Felix Samuel Feldman Jr.

Sam was born on March 11, 1953, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, to Felix S. Feldman and Mary J. Feldman. He grew up with his siblings and maintained close family ties throughout his life.
Sam was a faithful member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, and his faith was a steady and important part of his life. Sam proudly served for 37 years as an aircraft technician with the United States Air Force Air National Guard. His long career reflected his dedication, technical skill, and deep respect for serving his country. He was especially passionate about aviation and took great pride in his work. He always had a fascination with jets, cars, and anything with a motor— interests that brought him great joy and sparked countless conversations with friends and family.
Sam made many special memories camping and traveling, with Yellowstone National Park holding a favorite place in his heart. He also loved many other outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, boating, and golfing, and he never missed an opportunity to gather for a good bonfire—surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and the kind of simple moments that meant the most to him.
One of Sam’s greatest joys was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Each summer, Sam and 1953 ~ 2026
his wife Cheryl hosted “camp” at their home for a couple of weeks for their six grandchildren—a cherished tradition filled with swimming, movie nights at the drive-in, crafts, fishing, making forts, putt-putt golf, trips to the Cherry Festival, canoeing, and watching beach sunsets together. These summers created lifelong memories and reflected Sam’s deep love for his family. Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Cheryl Lynne Feldman; his children, Lori (Palo) M. Steinke, Lyndsey (Brian) A. Davidson, and Samuel (Amber) M. Feldman; and his grandchildren, Carson and Ashlyn Steinke, Raikken Smith, Tristan Davidson, and Kinsley and Nolan Feldman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix S. Feldman and Mary J. Feldman, and his sister, Diane M. Feldman.
