Richard “Rick” Allen, age 75, passed away on January 30th, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, connection, and love for his family. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Rick spent the majority of his life in Suttons Bay. He was the beloved son of Ray and Elizabeth Allen. He is survived by his two sons, Judd and Jamie (Megan), and their mother, Nancy. Lovingly known as “Grandpa Bubba” to Preston, Levi, Max, Emme, Reid, and Cate. Rick is also survived by his sisters, Susan Bayer and Nancy Lyon. He had a lifelong passion for cars and boats and especially cherished time spent with his family and friends on the beaches of northern Michigan. Known for his easygoing nature, Rick had a gift of making friends with complete strangers wherever he went and will be deeply missed by many. Celebration of life to take place this summer.
