SUTTONS BAY – Jacquie Lynn (Radcliffe) Kalchik passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer.

Born on January 5, 1978, in Northport, just before the Great Blizzard of 1978, Jacquie was the daughter of Barbara ( Johnson) Radcliffe and Kenneth Radcliffe.

Raised in Northport, Jacquie was a 1996 graduate from Northport High School. After graduation, she moved to Florida to pursue her associate’s degree, eventually earning her degree in Criminal Justice Technology.

Jacquie soon realized Leelanau was calling her home and she returned and eventually married her beloved childhood friend, David Kalchik. They made their home in Suttons Bay, where they shared countless memories and cherished moments together.

Being raised as an only child, Jacquie cherished her cousins as if they were siblings. She enjoyed spending time with them and engaging in various fun activities. Her heart also belonged to Grandma, Verna Johnson, with whom she shared a deep and loving connection. Jacquie had a deep love for her furry companions and would often take numerous photos of them, proudly sharing her favorites on Facebook like any devoted mother. Additionally, she relished taking beach walks and hiking with her husband David. Her camera was always by her side, and she was proud of the beautiful photographs she captured of her loved ones, the scenic landscapes, vibrant flowers, and breathtaking sunrises andsunsets. Recently,shediscovered Died February 4, 2026 a passion for painting, following in her mother’s footsteps.

Jacquie’s life was a testament to her love, compassion and unwavering spirit. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Michigan for the loving and compassionate care of our dearest Jacquie.

She is survived by her aunts and uncles, Rhoda Johnson (Fred Peplinski), Martin Johnson, Susan ( Javier) Favela, Eleanor Johnson (Dale Korson), Cheryl (Richard) Parker, Paul (Gaylene) Whiteford, Great Aunt Charlene Barnes and many close cousins and beloved friends, Paula, Chuck, and Rachel.

Jacquie is preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, Jobadiah , Grandmother, Verna Johnson, first cousins Sarah Johnson, Crystal Favela, and Jeff Peplinski.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Good Harbor with the family greeting friends at 10 a.m. A procession to and burial in the Swedish Mission Cemetery will follow the service. Pastor Mark Reinsch will officiate.
