Suzie was born on October 16, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the eldest daughter of Blythe Randolph Jones and Helen Irene Jones.

They made their home in Birmingham, Michigan, where Suzie graduated from high school in 1952. She was the loving wife of John H. Mulligan (Stu), whom she married on February 4, 1956, in the First Methodist Church, in Birmingham, Michigan.

Suzie was preceded in death by her husband in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Austin E. Jones, of Phoenix, Arizona, and her sister, Sylvia Hatton, of Costa Mesa, California. She is survived by her son Scott (Karen) of San Jose; son, Daniel of Lansing, Michigan; son, Robert of Grand Rapids, Michigan; as well as six grandsons, Tim, Cavan, Kyle, Jack, Ian, and Connor.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Died January 30, 2026 she was a life-long learner, collecting hobbies and interests throughout her lifetime, a character trait she shared with her husband. Together, there were no limits to the spectrum of their curiosity. They loved the adventure of life but were always most passionate about their family and sailing.

There will be a family gathering to celebrate her life later this Spring.
