Died February 20, 2026

NORTHPORT – Patricia Marvel Holton (Send), 98, of Northport, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born on May 13, 1927, in Charlevoix, Michigan. On October 15, 1947, at the First Lutheran Church in Suttons Bay, she married Harold Wesley Holton. They shared 60 years of marriage before Harold preceded her in death on January 1, 2008.

Patricia was a quiet and reserved woman whose strength anchored her family for generations. A woman of deep faith, she has now entered the gates of her Heavenly Father. She was the matriarch of her family — steady, loving, and generous, especially to her grandchildren, whom she adored. She cherished family gatherings and loved spending time with those she held dear. Patricia enjoyed shopping, getting her hair done, bowling at Timber Lanes, taking trips to Florida, playing UNO with her grandchildren, and working on puzzles. She often reminisced about the “good old days,” sharing stories of earlier times and the special role her grandparents played in helping guide and support her while she was raising her children.

Patricia is survived by her children, Suzanne (William) Wollenweber of Northport, John Wesley (Carol) Holton of Ormond Beach, Florida, Deborah Holton of Suttons Bay, and Lorri (Gerard) Belanger of Lake Leelanau; her grandchildren, Marcy D. Holton (Nicole Miaoulis) of Sanford, Florida, Monica Jane Holton of New Port Richey, Florida, Larry Couturier of Suttons Bay, Janet Detweiler Smith (Lynn) of Suttons Bay, Tanya (Richard) Vereecken of Cadillac, and Jason (Jackie) Belanger of South Boardman; and her great-grandchildren, Stephen Couturier, Lydia Faye Vereecken, Rebekah Vereecken, Jettson Ray Belanger, K. Detweiler-Smith, and Tae Detweiler-Smith. She is also survived by her sister-inlaw, Patricia Boyd Holton; her daughterin- law, Mikey Smith; and her faithful companion, Mason the cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Send; her husband, Harold; her sister, Phyllis McKinnon; her brother, William Lewis; and her brothersin- law, Lyle and Donald Holton.

Patricia’s family extends their sincerest thanks to Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care she received during her final weeks.
