Mark Richard Allen
Mark Richard Allen

Mark grew up in Clio, Michigan, alongside his three siblings and attended Clio High School, where he graduated before proudly joining the United States Navy. While home on leave nearing the end of his active service, Mark met the love of his life, Deborah Barry. Deborah was already serving in the Navy, as a Junior Officer. They often found humor that their meeting was best described as “An Officer and a Gentleman.” Their relationship grew into the kind of love story people dream about. Mark and Deb were not only husband and wife but truly best friends, sharing a deep bond throughout their 36 years of marriage.
Together, they enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, boating, golf, gardening, and spending time with their family. Most importantly, spending time side by side in all that life brought them. Mark considered himself an outdoor enthusiast, and he enjoyed time spent in the woods. He especially loved deer hunting, where he proudly pursued—and often returned July 24, 1964 ~ March 3, 2026 with—the biggest trophy. Mark had a natural ability to make any gathering more fun and was admired for his likable personality. He was warmhearted, had a gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to those in his presence. Above all, he cherished time with family and friends and simply loved having a good time.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; and his mother, JoAnn; his sister Jeannette and brother Stephen, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his humor, kindness, and unforgettable spirit. Mark’s father’s Richard, Mark, and his younger sister Stephanie preceded him in death.
A cremation is planned along with a Catholic Memorial Mass at St. Charles and Helena Church in Clio, Michigan at 11a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026.
