Shane Hoffmann
Shane Hoffmann

Shane left this world far too soon, leaving behind an emptiness that can never truly be filled. He was someone who never spoke unkindly of others. In a world that can feel rushed and unforgiving, Shane moved through it with quiet grace. He chose kindness, patience, gentleness, and understanding, and he will be remembered for the way he made others feel—truly seen and accepted without judgment.
Shane had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments— sunsets over Lake Michigan, quiet companionship, shared laughter, and simply being present with those he cared about. He will be profoundly missed, endlessly loved, and always remembered for the genuine warmth and compassion he shared so freely with others.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Michelle Hoffmann; his brother, Aaron (Kate) Hoffmann; his nephew and niece, Mack and Maylie Hoffmann; his grandfather, John Hoffmann; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pinkie Hoffmann; his grandmother, Phyllis Bigelow; his grandfather, Dean Bigelow; his grandmother, Lorraine Bigelow; and his aunt, Vicky Larson (Bigelow).
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Watershed Church (720 S Elmwood Ave, Traverse City, Michigan). Family will welcome visitors prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Traverse Health Clinic (www.traversehealthclinic. org/give-now/).
