Robert D. Johnson, 78, of Camp Springs and formerly of Ft. Thomas, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Hospice of Cincinnati at Christ Hospital. He was a proud Navy Veteran and the Vice President of Sales with Johnson Electric before retiring. Bob was also a dependable friend, a loving husband and an encouraging father. As a salesman at Johnson he bridged many life-long friendships, literally a stranger to no one. He loved his family’s summer cottages and the friends & cousins he spent years growing up with on Lake Leelanau and at the Leland Country Club. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Dixie Johnson; sister, Dixie Root and brother, Denny Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee. Ruh) Johnson; daughters, Malia Johnson & Maggie (Dave) Samuhel; son, Robert (Christine) Johnson; sisters, Anne (Bob) White, Ginger Herndon, Jane (Asa) Smith, Nancy (Mark) Baker and Liza (Rick) Love; brother, Doug (Mary Jo) Johnson and 4 grandchildren, Miles & Josie Pickens and Lucie & Ellie Samuhel. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, June 12th at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 13th at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas with Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
