Judith Elizabeth Kilinski
Judith Elizabeth Kilinski

Judy was born on December 17, 1938, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Waldo and Verona (Vollet) Byam. At the age of three, her family moved to Royal Oak, where she was raised. She graduated from Dondero High School and attended Wayne State University for a semester before making the move to California. Upon returning to Michigan, Judy met Al through a mutual friend and were married for 62 years. Judy was proud of her work with Blue Cross where she worked in both California and Michigan.
Once married, Judy helped run both the family business and the home. She and Al enjoyed raising their three children along with spending time with family and friends. They built several homes and eventually retired to their residence overlooking Al’s family farm in Maple City.
Judy was known for her deep love for animals and nature. Throughout her life, she cared for many animals and even raised a rooster as a child. As an empty nester, she often took in animals and at one point had several dogs and five cats. Judy was incredibly generous, often offering to help both family and strangers with the cost of animal care. Animals and nature brought her immense joy. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her plants. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judy is survived by her children, daughter Debbie Ann Kilinski, Sons, Greg Kilinski, and Mike (Michelle) Kilinski; grandchildren Zach (Brooke) Endres, Josh (Ashley) Endres, LeighAnn Endres, Dylan Kilinski, Kaci Kilinski, Brody Kilinski, and Sella Kilinski; two adorable great-granddaughters Lainey and Lorraine; multiple nieces and nephews, former son-in-law Martin Endres; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Al of 62 devoted years, her sister Sondra Byam, sister-in-law’s, Joan Sassin and Edita Miller and brother-in-law Art Kilinski and so many close friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St. Rita Cemetery in Maple City. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one’s choice, preferably one that supports animals.
