Margaret “Pegy” Noble Stanek

Pegy was born on December 7, 1948, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Charles P. White, Sr. and Marguerite DeSantis White. On May 11, 1980, she married the love of her life, Jerry J. Stanek. Together they shared 48 years of marriage filled with devotion, friendship, faith, and adventure. Pegy was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother, Sarah Claugherty DeSantis; her aunts, Melvina DeSantis, Marie DeSantis Kluge, and Madeleine DeSantis; and her brother, Douglas White. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry J. Stanek; her three sons, Jeffrey Scott (Charly) Stanek, Joshua Jay (Meagan) Stanek, and Nicholas Jay (Kelli) Stanek; and her five cherished grandchildren, Andie, Colbie, Ryan, Lauryn, and Jackson.
She is also survived by her brother, Charles P. White Jr. (Patricia); her sisterin- law, Dolores White; her cousins, Saralee Berman, Sean Berman, Kylie Berman, Lorenzo Berman, and Joanie & Randy Woods; as well as many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and friendship.
Pegy was a devoted Christian Scientist for more than 40 years. Her faith guided her throughout her life and brought her comfort and peace in her final days. She loved the Lord and remained grateful for His presence, guidance, and blessings.
Pegy had a remarkable work ethic and adventurous spirit. She spent three years in Alaska as part-owner of a business and later owned and operated her own court reporting business for over 20 years. She enjoyed working closely with people and took great pride in her work.
Above all, Pegy treasured her family. She cherished every friend and loved one she met throughout her life. She and Jerry walked hand in hand through life’s joys and challenges, building a marriage founded on love, mutual respect, and unwavering support. Sheoftenexpressedgratitude for the life they shared together.
Jerry and Pegy also had a special dog in their life, Quigsy, whose companionship brought them joy through many journeys and adventures. Quigsy was a beloved member of the family and held a special place in their hearts. In her memory, family and friends are encouraged to celebrate “Butter Burger Thursday for Quigsy.”
Pegy’s warmth, faith, generosity, and love for others will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Pegy’s life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9th at the Bay View at Gallagher Farms.
