Preston E.D. Tyler
PESHAWBESTOWN – Preston Earl Dwight Tyler, 35, of Peshawbestown, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 in Pima County, Arizona.
Preston was born December 12, 1988 in Grand Rapids the son of Preston J. Tyler and Jena Manning.
Preston was extremely talented in the arts and fixing all things mechanical. He would take junk snowmobile and work on it until it ran like a champ. As a young man he fixed a Yamaha 60 and when he was done, it ran better than new. He also had an artistic side and forged and created a knife for his father with a deer handle, sharp blade and etched with deer tracks and an eagle.
Preston loved the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, hunting, hiking and boating. If it was outdoors, he was up for it. He was skilled in archery and sling shot and would regularly win during the Annual Peshawbestown DNR Department’s Fair & Festival contests.
He and Michelle loved taking the boys out ice fishing and hunting. When he was in the woods or on the water, it was a spiritual time for Preston. He was at peace in the outdoors and called it his “church.” Preston was at home in the outdoors and closest to The Creator. He traveled the country to Florida, Oregon and all places in between.
He honored nature by none of his always successful hunts ever going to waste. Preston would harvest a deer and would travel the neighborhood and give fresh venison to his family and friends. As a young man Preston once harvested a turkey with a pellet gun, making an impossible 50 yard shot and feeding the family.
Preston is survived by his father, Preston J. Tyler, his mother, Jena Manning; his love, Michelle Paquette; his children, Preston T. Tyler, Jayce S. Tyler; his siblings, Amanda L. Tyler, Chanedese R. Tyler, Sarena K.J. Ripley and many loving aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kaleb Christian Manning.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 8th at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.
