ASHVILLE, NC – Clark Albyn Remter, 36, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born November 24, 1989 the son of Laurie Gregory Remter of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Walter (Skip) Remter. Skip predeceased him.

He is in the fifth generation of the Clark family to enjoy summers on Ingall’s Bay. His family owns the Pioneer Cottage.

Clark grew up in Marietta, Georgia, where he was a competitive swimmer and played lacrosse and rugby. He enjoyed weekends at Lake Allatoona with his parents, brother, cousins, and friends where he raced sailboats, swam, and fished.

He backpacked the Appalachian Trail with his brother, Greg, and moved to Asheville in 2014, where his love for food led him to work as a cook. He enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, and loved his cat, Jake.

Died February 19th, 2026 Survivors include his mother, Laurie Remter; his brother, Greg Remter; aunt and uncle, Karen and Dan Neri; his aunt, Holly Gregory; and four cousins and their families. Clark Remter’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Graveside services will be held a 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Omena. Rev. Dr. Chrysanne Timm will officiate.
