NORTHPORT - Angeline Cecilia John, 52, of Northport, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026 at Northwood Home Care in Grayling surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Angeline was born December 25, 1973 at the Leelanau Memorial Hospital in Northport the daughter of Allen John Sr. and Charlene J. (Wonegeshik) John. Angel attended Northport Public School and held various odd jobs. In early 2000 Angel was involved in a serious car accident which left her to be under 24 hour care. This miracle child did not let this define her. Angel was a person who showed love and happiness to everyone that crossed her path.

She would always tell you that you were gorgeous or handsome. Angel would follow up with a kiss on the hand and if she felt you needed prayer, she would pray for you. She loved attending church and singing, her favorite artist was Prince. Angel had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and flirt with the men. Angel had away of brightening your day.

The funeral service was held on September 15 at the Northport Indian Mission Church. Burial followed in Leelanau Township Cemetery. Pastor Delfred Whitecrow officiated.

Angel is survived by her two brothers, Allen (Lisa) John Jr., Bruce (Samantha) John; her Aunt, Joyce (Doug) Smith and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Sr. and Charlene, a brother, John N. John, and her grandparents.
