Cedar – Bruce Robert Unwin, 69, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026 at his home.

Bruce was born October 6, 1956 in Troy ,MI the son of Clifford and Marion (Youngjohn) Unwin.

Bruce married his wife, Virginia, on April 6, 2008, in the comfort and privacy of their home. Their marriage was a cherished part of his life, and together they shared many wonderful years and memories.

Bruce had an appreciation for cats, boating, and cars. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of spending time with the things he loved and sharing them with those close to him.

Professionally, Bruce worked as an Art Director at United Way, where he put his creative talents to work designing Catalogs. He retired in 2020, beginning a new chapter of life with more time for the people, interests, and activities he enjoyed. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Virginia; his mother, Marion; his sister Nancy (Tim) Jenkins, and special friends Kayla LaBonte, Sawyer Stachnik, Sue ( Jim) Banner, and Judy Wes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford, and his sister Judith Scott.

Cremation has taken place and private family services have been held.
